CoConstruct Expands IT Operations in Albemarle County, Virginia
05/02/2018
Founded in 2004, CoConstruct provides custom home builders and remodelers with web-based and mobile apps to streamline the home-building process. The company focuses on simplifying the key areas of selections, scheduling, change orders, client/vendor communication management, to-do and warranty item management, files and photos, and more.
“My wife and I chose to relocate to Albemarle County because of the great quality of life, outdoor activities, top-ranked schools, and cultural opportunities,” said CoConstruct Founder & CEO Donny Wyatt. “And when our experience building a home prompted the idea for CoConstruct, it was only natural to want to establish the company here. As we rapidly grow our team, we leverage those same benefits of the area to help us import talent from across the country.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership will support CoConstruct’s job creation through its Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP).
“Albemarle County boasts a renowned education system and quality of life that attracts and retains a brilliant workforce, and CoConstruct is one of many small businesses thriving in Central Virginia,” said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Brian Ball. “Creating 21st-century jobs remains critical in our efforts to strengthen the Commonwealth’s economy, and we are honored to support innovative companies like CoConstruct.”
“The Commonwealth’s technology infrastructure and top industry talent are invaluable assets to companies of all sizes, and CoConstruct’s impressive growth is a testament to the quality of our IT workforce,” said Governor Ralph Northam. “CoConstruct is a great entrepreneurial success story for Albemarle County, and we are proud that this young company is expanding and creating 69 well-paid jobs in Virginia.”
“CoConstruct is an example of what talented and creative people can do in Albemarle County. Their innovation exemplifies the depth and breadth of intellectual capital in our community,” said Roger Johnson, Albemarle County’s Economic Development Director. “Their continued growth is the latest success in our thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, and we fully expect other companies to follow suit.”
