12/18/2024
The investment will include the construction of a new 30,000-square-foot facility located adjacent to the company’s existing location. Full operations are scheduled to begin by early 2028.
“Landscape Forms has been a Michigan-based company since its inception over 55 years ago. We value our partnership with the State of Michigan as the support provided was pivotal in our decision to expand our campus in Comstock Twp./Kalamazoo,” said CEO Marjorie Simmons. “The new state of the art, sustainable manufacturing facility will allow us to attract and retain top manufacturing talent in Michigan to support our future growth.”
The project is being supported by a Michigan Business Development Program (MBDP) performance-based grant.
“This is a homegrown Comstock Township company that has grown in place while becoming a global leader in the outdoor furniture and placemaking space, providing significant job creation and investment through the years,” noted Jill Bland, Southwest Michigan First executive vice president.
Landscape Forms specializes in manufacturing custom outdoor furniture. Clients include municipalities, transit centers, corporate, college and health care campuses; and brands such as Boeing, Cisco Systems, Disney, Sprint, American Airlines, Herman Miller and Nike.
