Kalmbach Feeds Expands Wyandot County, Ohio, Manufacturing Operations

05/16/2026
Animal nutrition manufacturer Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. plans to expand its operations in Wyandot County, Ohio. The $125 million project is expected to create 213 jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a new manufacturing facility for K9 & Kin Brands which will produce premium dog and cat food products. Production is scheduled to begin in 2027.

“For generations, our family has been committed to providing the highest quality nutrition for people, livestock, and pets,” said Paul Kalmbach Jr., President of Kalmbach Feeds. “By expanding our footprint here in Wyandot County, we aren’t just building a new plant, we are strengthening our commitment to our local community and ensuring that the next generation of pet owners has access to nutrition they can trust.”

To support the project, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.569%, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit.

“The Kalmbach Family’s $125 million investment in Wyandot County is a testament to what makes Ohio an ideal place to grow a business,” noted Dean Monske, President and CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership. “This expansion reinforces Ohio’s position as a leader in food and agricultural manufacturing.”

Kalmbach Feeds produces feed, supplements, and pet food products for agricultural and consumer markets. The company’s operations include feed manufacturing, ingredient sourcing, formulation, packaging, and distribution through retail, agricultural, and commercial channels.

“The new K9 & Kin Brands facility establishes a new benchmark as the largest single private expansion investment in Wyandot County’s history,” added Greg Moon, Executive Director of the Wyandot County Office of Economic Development.
