05/26/2025
The company’s new U.S. headquarters will develop and produce its next-generation SEEM (Sustainable Electric Energy Motor) motors, including the latest iteration IESM (Inductive Electric Sustainable Motor) as well as support the production of the Gen 1 motors and control systems specifically tailored for the e-bike market.
“Setting up our headquarters in the Greater Sacramento region is a strategic move that aligns with Volektra’s commitment to sustainability and innovation,” said Manish Seth, Founder and Director of Volektra. “California’s robust support for green technology, combined with a talented workforce, makes it the ideal location for Volektra to accelerate the development of our breakthrough magnet-free motor technology and serve both domestic and international markets.”
Volektra specializes in magnet-free motor technologies, aiming to reduce reliance on rare earth minerals while achieving superior performance and lower costs. The company's key innovation is the Software Defined Virtual Magnet technology, which replaces physical magnets with a smart, software-controlled system.
“Our February Germany delegation trip strengthened ties with key industries, showcasing the region’s talent, R&D assets and affordability. This move reinforces Greater Sacramento’s position as a leader in cleantech innovation and a prime destination for global investment,” noted Barry Broome, President & CEO of the Greater Sacramento Economic Council. “I want to especially thank the late Supervisor John Hidahl, whose leadership was key in bringing companies like Volektra here. His contributions to our community will not be forgotten.”
