SEG Solar Expands Houston, Texas, Manufacturing Operations

Solar module manufacturer SEG Solar plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. The more than $200 million project is expected to create up to 800 jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a 500,000-square-foot facility which will produce up to four gigawatts of solar modules annually. Operations are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026..

“This new facility marks an important milestone for SEG,” said Timothy Johnson, Vice President of Operations for SEG Solar. “It will further strengthen our U.S. manufacturing capabilities while supporting ongoing technology innovation. The plant is designed with the flexibility to integrate next-generation technologies as the industry evolves.”.

SEG Solar manufactures solar photovoltaic modules for utility, commercial, and residential energy projects. The company’s operations include solar module production, engineering, and supply chain management for renewable energy markets. .
