Caterpillar Expands Lebanon, Indiana, Logistics Operations

06/30/2025
American construction, mining and other engineering equipment manufacturer Caterpillar Inc. plans to expand its operations in Lebanon, Indiana. The $60 million project is expected to create approximately 700 jobs in Boone County.

The investment will include an additional 369,360 square feet of warehouse space at the company’s existing logistics facility on 720 Edwards Drive. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2025.

“We know this is a high growth county,” said Erik Newkirk, a director at Caterpillar. “You guys have done a great job in attracting some wonderful businesses here; we're hoping, most likely, to bring some new members to the community as well for you all.”

To support the project the Lebanon City Council approved four years of property tax reductions.
