07/25/2024
The 11,000-square-foot headquarters, research and operations facility will be a key hub for the company's research and development of autonomous robots and fire detection technology.
“We are thrilled to establish our headquarters in Folsom,” said Derek Chase, CEO of OnSight Technology. “The city offers an unparalleled environment for growth, with access to a talented workforce, supportive local government and a thriving tech community. The support from the Greater Sacramento Economic Council and Choose Folsom has been invaluable. Folsom is the perfect place for OnSight to continue pushing the boundaries of AI and robotics.”
OnSight Technology is an autonomous and tele-operated Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) with a Radiometric thermal imaging camera and an optical zoom camera that uses Ai visual learning to detect, report, and observe issues and anomalies on Utility Solar Farms.
“The Greater Sacramento region continues to be a hub for sophisticated research and development companies thanks to our talent, partnerships and innovation ecosystem,” noted GSEC President & CEO Barry Broome. “We are excited to see OnSight’s continued growth here and the critical technologies they’re pioneering.”
“It is incredibly gratifying to see a company like OnSight Technology start in a small space on Sutter Street in Folsom, expand to El Dorado Hills, and ultimately return to Folsom to set down roots for their robotics and R&D hub,” added Joe Gagliardi, President/CEO of Choose Folsom. “They have successfully leveraged local talent from Sacramento State and UC Davis to fuel their innovation and growth. This journey demonstrates that our region has everything needed to create, grow and retain innovative companies.”
