04/13/2026
The investment will include the construction of a new 840,000-square-foot facility to support increased manufacturing capabilities for industrial robots and automation systems. Production is scheduled to begin in late 2027.
“This investment builds on FANUC America’s Michigan manufacturing footprint, which has included producing robots for paint application domestically for more than four decades,” said Mike Cicco, President and CEO of FANUC America. “By expanding our U.S. presence, we will strengthen domestic manufacturing, improve responsiveness to customer needs, and support industries that rely on automation to stay competitive.”
FANUC America provides industrial automation solutions, including robotics, CNC systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies that support production efficiency across multiple industries.
“Michigan continues to be a leader in advanced manufacturing and automation, and FANUC America’s investment reinforces the strength of our state’s talent and industrial base,” noted Quentin L. Messer, Jr., CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). “This project will create high-quality jobs and further position Michigan at the forefront of next-generation manufacturing technologies.”
