Blevins Asphalt Expands Mount Vernon, Missouri, Maintenance Operations
04/28/2026
The investment will include the construction of a new 16,000-square-foot maintenance facility designed to improve equipment repair times and operational efficiency while featuring twelve service bays, a crane system, a four-post vehicle lift, a 100-foot wash bay, a parts stockroom, and office space.
“The new building was a long time coming and will help speed up the maintenance and repair times on equipment,” said Derek Stokes, Owner of Blevins Asphalt. “This is a huge win for our mechanics and construction crews.”
To support the project, Blevins Asphalt will benefit from the Missouri Works Program, which provides access to capital through tax credits or withholdings tied to job creation. The company is estimated to receive $28,002, subject to meeting program requirements.
“The asphalt and construction materials industry plays a vital role in maintaining Missouri’s infrastructure,” noted Michelle Hataway, Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “This investment strengthens a critical sector and supports long-term economic stability.”
Blevins Asphalt Construction Company, Inc. provides asphalt materials and construction services for public and private sector projects, serving municipalities, contractors, and commercial customers. The company’s operations include asphalt production, paving, and related infrastructure services.
“The Blevins Asphalt expansion represents the kind of locally rooted investment we want to support,” added Christy Beshore, Business Development Director for the Mount Vernon Area Economic Development Corporation. “This project reinforces our commitment to economic growth and community development.”
