Amazon Plans Mills River, North Carolina, Delivery Station
05/18/2020
Amazon plans to invest $28 million in the delivery center that will be constructed on 28 acres. “In these times when there’s so much economic uncertainty, and honestly so many jobs being lost, it’s really nice to see some good news,” Town Manager Daniel Cobb said.
As part of the process, Amazon packages are transported from fulfillment hubs to delivery centers, and sorted, before being placed onto delivery vehicles to be transported to customers.
Local officials said that no incentives or public dollars will be expended as part of the project.
