05/05/2026
Food manufacturer Southern Classic Food Group plans to expand its operations in Brundidge, Alabama. The $14.2 million project is expected to create 82 jobs in Pike County.

The investment at the company’s existing facility will include the addition of new manufacturing lines, equipment upgrades, and supporting infrastructure.

“We’re excited to continue investing in our Brundidge operations and the Pike County community,” said Chuck Caraway, Owner of Southern Classic Food Group. “This expansion supports growing demand across our product portfolio and allows us to enhance our capabilities, improve efficiency and better serve our customers.”

Southern Classic Food Group, part of Trillium Foods LLC, produces and distributes prepared food products for retail and foodservice markets. The company's operations include food processing, packaging, and distribution through regional and national channels.

“The continued growth of Southern Classic in Pike County shows the company’s confidence in the local workforce and the strength of the region,” noted Margaret Henderson, South Rural Development Project Manager for the Alabama Department of Commerce.

“Southern Classic continues to play a significant role in our local economy,” added John Ramage, Chairman of the Pike County Economic Development Corporation. “We are excited about the opportunities this expansion will bring to the community.”
