PerforMix Nutrition Systems Begins Construction On New Production Facilities In Rupert, Idaho
06/24/2015
The facility of four separate buildings will take up 6.5 acres of the 10 acre site and will be the most advanced liquid feed operation in the Pacific Northwest. The new Rupert facility, slated to be running by the end of this year, will have 15 staff at full capacity including management, production/maintenance and transportation.
“This is an exciting day for all of us at PerforMix and for our customers,” said Jim Keppen, President of PerforMix. “This new Rupert facility will be a critical location not only for us to better serve our growing client base, it will allow us to increase production capacity and expand our proprietary processes and technologies to additional beef and dairy producers across Idaho and neighboring states. We’re thrilled to be joining the community of Rupert,” Keppen said.
“Idaho understands how important agriculture is for the state, communities and overall economy,” said Celia Gould, Director of the Idaho Department of Agriculture. “To have a home-grown successful ag-support business like PerforMix decide to expand further into the state rather than elsewhere is a testament to the great work undertaken by our agricultural industry, Rupert representatives and Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization to secure this new expansion.”
Rupert City Administrator, Kelly Anthon, said the region is fortunate to welcome another good corporate citizen like PerforMix. “This new facility is a great fit for the dairy and beef farmers in our area and for our community with the good wages and benefits they will offer to our citizens,” Anthon said.
