06/06/2024
The facility, formerly occupied by Tru Colors Brewing and located at 715 Greenfield Street, will be the company’s third location on the East Coast.
“In light of the evolving landscape within the food and beverage industry, particularly with grocers increasingly investing in private label offerings, we, as industry leaders, are committed partners in meeting the rising demand for high-quality, good-for-you beverages at an accessible price point, while also contributing positively to the communities and environment that make our business possible,” said David Gray, CEO of FedUp Foods. “We wouldn't be where we are today without the commitment of our entire team, and we're excited to grow and carry our mission forward in this next phase of our journey with the city of Wilmington."
FedUp Foods is the parent company of Buchi, its consumer division. FedUp collaborates with brands and retailers to design and manufacture living functional fermented beverages that are nutrient-dense and can be specialized to provide targeted benefits that support basic life functions.
"Product development is critical in driving the economic success of a region, and we welcome FedUp Foods to expand their functional beverage manufacturing into Wilmington. This venture emphasizes the vital role our historic infrastructure plays in the success and growth of this city and we look forward to supporting FedUp Foods in this next chapter.” noted Scott Satterfield, CEO of the Wilmington Business Development.
