Scripps Networks To Relocate Travel Channel To Knoxville, Tennessee

In an email to employees the company said; “As we continue to break down the silos that often get in the way of the creative focus and discipline for which Scripps Networks is known, today we are announcing that Travel Channel will move its headquarters from its long-time home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, to Knoxville. This change will drive even deeper coordination across all brands and more completely aligns our leading lifestyle portfolio.”
Relocation will allow Travel Channel, which represents great growth opportunities for the company both domestically and internationally, to enhance its potential by drawing on the services offered by the entire company, which includes; the Food Network, Cooking Channel, Great American Country, HGTV and DIY Network, the company said.
According to the East Tennessee Economic Development Agency Scripps employs more than 1,000 associates in the Knoxville area.
