11/25/2024
The investment will include the renovation of approximately 130,000 square feet of historic buildings for the company’s new distilling and bottling operations, as well as a bourbon-aging warehouse. Production is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2025.
“Elizabeth and I and our equity investors are excited to bring this transformative project to the Delta. It has taken a strong collaboration with our federal, state, local and private partners to bring this dream to fruition, and we really appreciate those partnerships. Governor Reeves in particular has shown a keen interest in our project, and we are going to work hard to ensure that he and all Mississippians are proud of our company,” Jack Coleman, Founder, Rosedale Distilling Company said.
To support the project the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance for road improvements and water/sewer infrastructure improvements. The city of Rosedale and Bolivar County also are assisting with the project.
“The hospitality industry is a huge economic driver for Mississippi, both as an employer and an attractor of visitors from all over the world. When a company like Rosedale Distilling Company plants roots in our state, it serves as a reminder to other companies and entrepreneurs that Mississippi is a great place to do business. This new distillery will be a fantastic addition to Mississippi’s business community and a great attraction for the Delta Region, all while providing dozens of good job opportunities for the area’s workforce,” Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork noted.
“We are excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of the state’s largest distillery, Rosedale Distilling. This project represents a significant investment in our community and will drive local economic growth. In addition to its impact on the job market, Rosedale Distilling will enhance and stimulate tourism for our region, attracting visitors and showcasing the unique offerings of our area. We are grateful to everyone who made the project possible,” Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Hannah Aguzzi said.
