Allcast LLC Plans $14 Million Expansion Of Addison, Wisconsin, Manufacturing Center
08/14/2015
The company is adding a 29,000-square-foot addition to its current facility in the Town of Addison as it expands its casting capabilities to meet increased customer demand. Construction of the first phase, a 14,420-square-foot expansion of the company’s foundry, is expected to be completed by October.
“We are very excited to be able to continue to grow and expand our operations here in Washington County,” said Mark Magnarini, Allcast President/CEO. “Wisconsin has always had a rich history in manufacturing, including tool and die and high-pressure die-casting, which has allowed Allcast to develop a very talented and dedicated team of people here. When we assessed our options for expansion in other geographic locations, it was the combination of our team of people and the tremendous support we received from the state, county and local resources that provided us with a clear competitive advantage to expand here at home in Wisconsin.”
To help facilitate the project, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation authorized Allcast to receive up to $350,000 in state tax credits over a four-year period. The actual amount of credits the company will earn is contingent upon the company meeting specific job creation and wage level requirements.
“WEDC is pleased to play a key role in supporting Allcast with this expansion, which is good news for Washington County and the entire region,” said Reed Hall, Secretary/CEO of WEDC, the state’s lead economic development organization. “WEDC also assisted Allcast when it added additional die cast capabilities in 2012, which enabled the company to expand into some new markets. This latest project is a continuation of Allcast’s ongoing success.”
“This expansion and the quality jobs Allcast creates for Allenton and surrounding area residents reinforce why Economic Development Washington County strategically focuses on existing growth companies,” said Christian Tscheschlok, EDWC Executive Director. “We were impressed with Allcast’s keen understanding of what drives their growth and profitability, so we focused our efforts on generating custom comparative information to support their decision-making and ultimately forge a compelling economic case for expansion in Washington County.”
