Japan-Based Astemo Americas Plans Wixom, Michigan, Regional Headquarters Operations

The investment will include the construction of a new testing facility along I-96 featuring test tracks and 185,000 square-feet of office and lab space for engineering, software development, marketing, customer-service and administration personnel. Operations are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2027.

Astemo, Ltd. specializes in advanced mobility solutions including electric and autonomous driving systems. The company develops and manufactures engine management, electric powertrain, and integrated vehicle control systems for major automakers, as well as aftermarket products and motorcycle components.
