FUJIFILM Establishes Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, Manufacturing Complex

The new site will be operated by FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, Inc., a subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, and a world leader in the development and manufacture of advanced cell culture solutions for life science research, bioproduction, cell therapy manufacturing, and medical applications. Land development and construction are scheduled to start in spring 2023 with operation of the facility beginning in 2025.

The facility will be located across 64 acres in RTP and support cGMP manufacturing of animal component-free, dry powder, and liquid media.

FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific is a worldwide leader in the innovation and manufacture of cell culture media, reagents, and medical devices for researchers and clinicians. The company provides service and quality to scientists working in cell therapy and regenerative medicine, assisted reproductive technology and cytogenetics, and industrial cell culture for the large-scale production of biotherapeutics and vaccines.
