EOC Naturals Plans Allendale, South Carolina, Pet Food Facility

Canada-based EOC Naturals plans to locate a new, all-natural pet treat manufacturing facility in Allendale, South Carolina. The development is projected to bring $3.3 million in capital investment and create 76 new jobs over the next five years.

Manufacturing high-quality, food-grade pet treats since 1989, the company will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2019. Headquartered in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada, EOC Naturals uses state-of-the-art technology to produce a range of products for pets of all sizes under the Eurocan Pet Products brand, as well as for some of the country’s largest retailers.

Located at 3405 Fairfax Allendale Highway in Allendale, the company’s new manufacturing facility is expected to come online in the second quarter of 2019. Hiring for the new positions is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2019; the company is working with readySC to recruit and train associates.

In addition, Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project. A $500,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant was also awarded to Allendale County to assist with costs associated with the project.

“EOC Naturals’ facility in Allendale will allow us to produce North America’s finest pet treats in a location that will enable us to reach our growing markets in the U.S. We appreciate the support and welcome we have received from Allendale County, SouthernCarolina Alliance and the State of South Carolina. We look forward to opening our production facility in 2019,” said EOC Naturals and Eurocan Pet Products Founder & President Mauro Trinchini.

This project is a shining example of collaboration in South Carolina, with readySC helping to ensure that the company can recruit, train and hire local associates,” said Governor Henry McMaster.

“International investment continues to drive our economy, ensuring prosperity for South Carolinians in all regions of our state. I offer my congratulations to EOC Naturals on this milestone announcement in Allendale County,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.

“EOC Naturals will bring good jobs and investment to our county, where we appreciate manufacturing and processing operations. The people of Allendale County look forward to welcoming this new company and helping them call Allendale home for their U.S. operations,” said Allendale County Council Chairman Bill Robinson.

“SouthernCarolina Alliance welcomes EOC Naturals to our region, and we thank them for their investment in our community. Each of the 76 jobs they are creating in Allendale County improves the quality of life for a family in our area. We are proud to have this incredible brand producing food-grade quality treats in our region,” SouthernCarolina Alliance Chairman Marty Sauls added.
