HZO Relocates Headquarters to Raleigh, North Carolina
03/27/2019
According to company officials, the move reflects HZO’s extraordinary global growth and need to access technical talent, new business partnerships and cutting-edge technology.
The facilities in Raleigh provide HZO with up to ten times more U.S. based manufacturing space, four times more research and development space, and three times more lab space, supporting customer demand for thin-film waterproof protection, they explained. HZO expects to be fully operational in Raleigh by late Summer 2019.
“By 2020, there will be over 30 billion connected devices that require protection from the elements and everyday life,” said Simone Maraini, CEO, HZO. “For almost a decade, HZO has protected everything from consumer electronics to mission-critical devices, at a pace and scale that has earned it the trust of major household brands and industrial giants.”
“Our new facilities in Research Triangle Park will help ensure we continue to deliver unparalleled service and support to our customers. We’re grateful to Salt Lake City, which has been instrumental in helping us achieve this latest milestone,” said Maraini.
The Raleigh site, located in the largest research park in the United States, will enable the company to meet rising demand with ready access to top talent, including new graduates from local universities, Duke, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University and Wake Forest.
Raleigh also offers a coastal advantage, putting HZO in a prime location to better support its current global customers and extend its reach into growing markets such as automotive, internet of things and medical devices. The city ranks top five in places for business and top three in quality of life.
