05/20/2026
Engineering and technology company Pratt Miller Engineering & Fabrication plans to expand its operations in New Hudson, Michigan. The approximately $3 million project is expected to create 50 jobs.

The investment will add approximately 24,000 square feet across the company’s two existing facilities to support growth in motorsports engineering, advanced manufacturing, and defense technologies.

“Pratt Miller is proud to partner with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation as we continue investing in the future of our business in New Hudson, Michigan,” said Matt Carroll, Chief Executive Officer of Pratt Miller. “This grant supports our ongoing growth through facility expansion and job creation, while strengthening our ability to deliver advanced innovation and technology across motorsports, mobility, and defense.”

To support the project, the Michigan Strategic Fund provided assistance through a Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. In addition, Lyon Township is providing retention support services and workforce recruitment assistance through organizations including Michigan Works and Advantage Oakland.

“The expansion represents a significant commitment to Lyon Township and underscores Pratt Miller’s dedication to expanding its operations while remaining rooted in the community,” noted Amy Allen, Director of the Downtown Development Authority for Lyon Township. “More than 50 new high-paying jobs are expected to be created over the next two years, further strengthening the local economy.”

Pratt Miller Engineering & Fabrication develops vehicles, components, and advanced technologies for motorsports, defense, and commercial applications. The company provides design, testing, fabrication, and systems integration services for transportation and mobility programs.
