Daisy Brand Invests $116 Million To Build Production Facility in Wooster, Ohio
07/25/2013
According to the project timeline provided by Daisy Brand, construction of the new 200,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to begin in late 2013 with operations commencing in late 2015.
This represents the company’s third U.S.facility, which it is being established to serve East Coast market, according to Daisy Brand’s President Vincent Taylor.
JobsOhio President and Chief Investment Officer John Minor said that Ohio was in strong competition with several other Midwest states for the Daisy Brand project. Daisy Brand’s decision concludes a site selection process spanning four states and a year in duration.
“Ohio’s location and ability to move product quickly and efficiently were key to this win, as well as a quality supply of cream, abundant clean water, and a pro-growth business climate,” said Minor. “Daisy Brand’s decision illustrates the success that is being achieved through the new one firm, one state economic development approach of delivering all of Ohio and all of its resources to businesses.
