02/05/2025
The investment will include the construction of a 267,000-square-foot food production facility located on Vantage Drive at the Highpoint Business Park.
“The push was accelerated since the global market and U.S. industrial policies, including customs, have been changing rapidly since the Trump administration’s second run,” said company officials.
To support the project the City of Burleson and Johnson County are contributing approximately $10 million.
“From a capital investment and jobs standpoint, this is a massive win for the city of Burleson and Johnson County,” noted Alex Philips, economic development director for the city of Burleson.
SPC Group manufactures food, bread, and other confectionery products. In addition to Samlip General Food and Shany, the company has franchise brands such as Paris Baguette (Bakery) and BR Korea (Donuts and Ice Cream) as subsidiaries.
