Denmark-Based Danisco US Expands Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Manufacturing Operations
01/25/2025
The investment will include the construction of a new 47,000-square-foot food grade manufacturing facility at the company’s existing site. Production is scheduled for July 2026.
To support the project the state awarded Danisco $17.5 million in capital investment project tax benefits through the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s High Quality Jobs program. Additionally, the Cedar Rapids City Council supported the project with a decade of financial incentives, through a 50 percent declining scale exemption of the increased value generated by the project.
Danisco is a subsidiary of International Flavors & Fragrances, which manufactures enzymes for biofuel production and food, animal nutrition and home and personal care products.
