For the expansion, Koch Foods has renovated the Forest facility and is in the process of constructing additions totaling 32,000 square feet at the Morton location. Koch Foods currently employs approximately 3,200 in Scott County.
“As a corporate citizen of Scott County, we are pleased to show our commitment to the growth and prosperity of both our company and our communities. Koch is very pleased to be a part of Scott County and Mississippi, and will continue our pursuit of excellence here in the years to come,” said Koch Foods COO Mark Kaminsky. Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance in support of the project for road improvements as an incentive. The city of Forest, the city of Morton and Scott County provided assistance, as well.
“I appreciate the team at Koch Foods for choosing to expand its operations in Forest and Morton and for creating hundreds of new jobs for the area’s workforce,” said Governor Phil Bryant. “Mississippi strives to provide a business environment that fosters growth and longevity, and Koch Foods’ decision to further invest in these two locations reinforces that fact. I look forward to the company’s continued growth.”
“We salute our partners at Mid-Mississippi Development District and Scott County for their teamwork which, along with the MDA team, assisted in making Koch Foods’ expansions in Forest and Morton a reality,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough Jr. “The company’s growth in Scott County, combined with the productivity of Mississippians in the region, will position the company for many more years of success in our state.”
