According to Virginia Beach Economic Development, TAG America Inc. conducted a real estate search in several states on the East Coast to host production, storage, sales and administration before selecting a 6,400-square-foot facility at 5721 Bayside Road in Virginia Beach.
“We dedicated a lot of time before selecting Virginia Beach for our newest international operation,” said Andreas Kemper, Managing Director for TAG Chemicals GmbH. “We believe the strategic location, the favorable business climate and the support we received make Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach the best location for TAG America Inc.”
“We are excited to welcome TAG America Inc., a family owned company, to our growing international business community,” said Director of Virginia Beach Economic Development Warren D. Harris. “Small and medium-sized European enterprises increasingly understand the importance of having a U.S. facility for long-term growth and success. Virginia Beach, the region and the Commonwealth’s efforts to attract this target market continue to produce outstanding results.”
Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance assisted the company during the decision-making process.
“Having TAG America Inc. locate in Virginia Beach is one more example of the quality of this region’s economic development professionals,” said Kevin Sweeney, Interim President/CEO for the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance. “We all work together to promote Hampton Roads as the preferred location to companies around the world. These firms contribute significantly to the economic environment and ultimately form strong partnerships with our existing domestic companies. It’s an important process that diversifies our local economy and demonstrates the value the Alliance brings to its members and partners.”
