Market Fresh Produce Opens Monett, Missouri, Operations Center
03/11/2015
Founded in 1998 in Nixa, Missouri,, To accommodate for its rapid growth, the company opened a 16,000-square-foot repackaging facility in Monett. The Monett facility will allow Market Fresh Produce to better serve customers in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
“The Monett facility will allow Market Fresh to provide fresh produce throughout the Midwest by continuing the Field to Fork strategy that consumers have come to enjoy,” said Tyler Phipps, General Manager of the Monett facility. “We are happy to be part of the Monett community and continue to offer jobs as we plan for future expansion.”
Market Fresh Produce’s Monett facility was acquired from the Harlin Fruit Company. Renovations began August 2014 to upgrade the building to a repackaging facility. The renovations include state-of-the-art hands free wash and dry room for the employees, LED lighting, new security system, six walk-in coolers, among other items to standardize and enhance the facility.
To assist Market Fresh Produce with its expansion to Monett, the Missouri Department of Economic Development has offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria.
“Market Fresh Produce’s commitment to expanding in Monett further validates Missouri’s pro-business environment and world class workforce,” said Mike Downing, Director of DED. “The department is very proud to partner with this homegrown company and happy to see more jobs coming to Southwest Missouri.”
