The company intends to create at least 200 new jobs.
“METYX products are currently manufactured at the company’s three factories in Europe. METYX has 41,000 square meter, state-of-the art facilities in Istanbul and Manisa in Turkey, as well as a 15,000 square meter factory manufacturing center in Kaposvár, Hungary,” a company official said.
As part of our global strategic growth plan, we have been interested in the USA for several years, and now we believe now is the right time to invest and bring our portfolio of products and services to the American market. This is a very exciting time for METYX and we look forward to starting our US operations later this year,” the official explained.
Chad Brown, Chairman of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners said; “We are excited to welcome the METYX to Gaston County. This is great news for Ranlo and Gaston County.”
“METYX is a great addition to Gaston County’s international corporate community. If we are to compete for quality projects, Gaston County has to help provide the proper environment for business. We look forward to the firm’s establishment of the corporate offices and advanced production facility.” Chairman Brown added, “Gaston County will con-tinue to provide service ‘after the sale’ for METYX through our EDC’s Existing Industry Program,” he added.
“Economic development is a team sport and we are proud to be on the team that helped METYX find its home in Charlotte USA. We welcome this dynamic company to the Charlotte region and congratulate Gaston County on a job well done,” stated Ronnie Bryant, President & CEO of the Charlotte Regional Partnership.
