West Paw Retools Bozeman, Montana, Plant to Produce Face Masks

US pet product manufacturer West Paw is producing much-needed face masks to protect the safety of health care workers from its manufacturing plant in Bozeman, Montana.

According to company officials, West Paw worked to retool its Bozeman, Montana production facility, leveraging the skills of their employees who normally might be making dog toys, beds, collars, and leashes.

“As a purpose-driven certified B Corp, we live our values of community and employee support by unleashing the capability and skills of our staff to make an impact. As of this week a portion of our Bozeman, Montana factory has temporarily shifted gears to make masks for healthcare workers”, says Spencer Williams, President, and CEO, West Paw.

As a certified B Corp, West Paw is doing its part to help healthcare workers with this critical need, as well as creating a safe work environment to keep its employees working and earning a paycheck. This is a very challenging time, both health-wise and economically, but helping others is paramount to West Paw’s values.

West Paw is leveraging its flex work schedules for production and office staff to ensure the health and promote social distancing. West Paw will continue to ship orders directly from its factory in Bozeman, Montana within one business day.

West Paw said it is also doing its part to flatten the curve of infections and slow the spread to help us all recover quickly. West Paw extended employees more paid time off to be home with their children during school closures and also during times where employees or someone in their household is ill.
