CoorsTek Expands Benton, Arkansas, Facility
04/27/2021
In 2020, construction was completed on a $26 million building expansion at the Benton facility for additional manufacturing operations in the aerospace and defense markets. The facility has served U.S. and international customers in the aerospace and defense industries since 1979.
“The expansion of our Benton facility is a key step in our long-term strategy for CoorsTek supporting the evolution and innovation in the defense and aerospace markets,” said Jonathan Coors, Co-CEO. “Benton has long been an important manufacturing hub for us, and the support and partnership we have experienced from both local and state governments has been a driving factor in our desire for continued investment in Arkansas.”
“It’s been two years since CoorsTek broke ground for a $26 million expansion in Benton, which the company completed last year,” said Governor Asa Hutchinson. “Here they are again, creating more jobs and further polishing Arkansas’ reputation in the defense and aerospace markets. If I hear of a CEO who wonders whether Arkansas is a good place to do business, I’ll recommend a visit to CoorsTek.”
CoorsTek said it continues to make significant investments in developing advanced materials and processes for critical applications and is the partner of choice for companies worldwide, whose success requires the unique, high-performance properties of products manufactured from engineered ceramics and advanced materials. The company is committed to delivering outstanding value through operational excellence, research, development, and manufacturing capabilities and collaborative stakeholder relationships.
“CoorsTek has been a valued business partner in Benton for over 40 years,” said Arkansas Secretary of Commerce Mike Preston. “They are a great example of the type of advanced manufacturing company we want here in Arkansas, bringing higher paying jobs and investing in our communities.”
