CoverMyMeds Invests More Than $3 Million To Expand Operations Center In Downtown Columbus, Ohio
10/01/2014
CoverMyMeds will move from its existing space in the Arena District to substantially larger quarters in Downtown’s Scioto Mile development. The $1.2 million investment will go toward leasehold improvements and equipment, Columbus 2020 said. The company will invest an additional $2 million to create an internal training program to recruit and develop software engineers. The program will help address CoverMyMeds’ rapid growth while enhancing the high-tech skills of central Ohioans.
“Our software network that streamlines a vital process for physicians, pharmacies and health plans has led to rapid growth at CoverMyMeds, prompting the need for more space for specialized professionals,” said Alan Scantland, CEO, CoverMyMeds. “The Columbus Region provides an ideal spot for growth, and we’re proud to add to the renaissance of the city’s downtown area with this investment.”
“This significant investment from a growing player in the healthcare technology space speaks volumes about what Columbus has to offer, in terms of a highly skilled workforce,” said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “We are proud CoverMyMeds is growing its presence in Columbus and glad the company is contributing to downtown revitalization.”
