Seda Packaging North America Plans Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, Production Facility

According to the Racine County Economic Development Corporation, increased demand by Seda North America’s customers is fueling the company’s need to expand its operations. The expansion plan includes the addition of 125,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing and warehouse space at its existing 323,000 square foot facility. When complete, the company’s additional capital investment in building and equipment is expected to total $24.5 million.
“Since 2010, Seda has become an important part of our community and this expansion reinforces their commitment,” Jonathan Delagrave, Racine County Executive said. “Many internationally owned companies, including Seda, Poclain Hydraulics, Bonetti Steel, and Cordstrap, find value in Racine County’s strategic location in the Chicago-Milwaukee Corridor and are able to access a strong network of suppliers and customers, a high quality transportation system, and a productive labor force."
The Village of Mount Pleasant is expected to provide a grant of $250,000 in tax increment financing assistance to Seda to allow the project to move forward locally. In addition, Racine County is providing a $500,000 in loan assistance to support the project.
