Cityblock Health Plans Indianapolis-Fort Wayne, Indiana, Operation Centers

Cityblock Health, a value-based health care provider for Medicaid, dually eligible and lower-income Medicare beneficiaries, plans to locate operations in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project is expected to create up to 140 jobs.

The company, which currently operates in seven states, will provide care for MDwise members in the two cities. This expansion will allow Cityblock to build on its existing care service and deliver strong clinical programs for Medicaid members in Indiana.

"We are proud to partner with MDwise and Indiana’s local organizations, health care providers and behavioral health specialists to deliver comprehensive care, improve health outcomes, and drive access to truly equitable health care for those who need it the most."

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) committed an investment in Cityblock Health of up to $3.2 million in the form of incentive-based tax credits and up to $100,000 in conditional training grants based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim incentives once Hoosiers are hired and trained.

"Cityblock's investment in Indiana not only strengthens our thriving tech and life sciences ecosystems, it reinforces our commitment to growing a healthy workforce and creating quality career opportunities for Hoosiers."

MDwise, a health maintenance organization serving more than 410,000 Hoosiers on Healthy Indiana Plan, Hoosier Healthwise and Medicare Advantage, will partner with Cityblock Health to bring comprehensive, personalized care to approximately 10,000 Hoosiers at launch.
