Elevate Windows and Doors Plans Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Production-Distribution Complex
10/05/2022
The company will acquire an existing 100,000-square-foot facility, which sits on 22 acres. Operations are planned for April 2023.
“Elevate, a leading window and door manufacturer of contemporary, energy efficient vinyl windows and doors for residential new construction and replacement applications, is soon heading to Hopkinsville. In advance of our eastern expansion, we would like to thank the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Christian County, City of Hopkinsville and TVA for all their hard work and support,” said Mike Prindle, CFO at Elevate.
To encourage investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved a 15-year incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based agreement can provide up to $2.25 million in tax incentives based on the company’s investment of more than $16 million and annual targets of creation and maintenance of 203 Kentucky-resident, full-time jobs across 15 years; and paying an average hourly wage of $22 including benefits across those jobs.
By meeting its annual targets over the agreement term, the company can be eligible to keep a portion of the new tax revenue it generates. The company may claim eligible incentives against its income tax liability and/or wage assessments.
“I want to welcome Elevate to Christian County and the commonwealth, and the more than 200 quality jobs the company will create with this investment,” Governor Andy Beshear noted. “This is the latest company to recognize the value in locating in Kentucky and the many strengths we offer to ensure their business thrives well into the future. Elevate will be a great addition to our manufacturing sector, which continues to diversify and grow.”
In addition, the company can receive resources from Kentucky’s workforce service providers. Those include no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job-training incentives.
“It’s gratifying to see our vision come to fruition at the most recent spec building in our region. We sought to recruit a strong company and to diversify our industrial footprint by recruiting a new industrial sector,” added Carter Hendricks, executive director of the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council. “With Elevate Windows, our region has exceeded expectations. We are excited to work with the company as they execute their plans and enjoy success for generations to come. We’re also excited to help company leadership make a positive impact as they’ve pledged to be strong corporate citizens in our award-winning region!”
Elevate Windows and Doors is the new leading manufacturer of contemporary, energy efficient windows and doors for residential applications.
