Italpollina Plans North American Headquarters in Anderson, Indiana
09/11/2017
“Through the hard work and continuing efforts of our economic development team, we have brought Italpollina home to Anderson. We expect great things from Italpollina and look forward to growing right along with them,” said Mayor Thomas Broderick.
“The construction of this new plant is a very exciting step for our company since it confirms our commitment to the US market and shows the importance of biotechnologies in agriculture. In Anderson, we have found the right mix of a skilled workforce and a business friendly environment. We are really looking forward to expanding our activity in the US with the creation of our new North American headquarters in Indiana,” says Luca Bonini, CEO of Italpollina.
According to company officials, with local developer, Fredericks, Inc., Italpollina has begun the process of planning its North American headquarters. Designed by krM Architecture, the new 70,000+ square foot facility will be located west of the Flagship Purdue P3 facility on the former GM Scatterfield site. With construction commencing in the coming months, the company anticipates being operational in 2017 to begin production for its customers throughout North America and the world.
With employees located across the globe, Italpollina will begin to hire engineers, administrators, machine operators, quality control professionals, skilled equipment mechanics and production line associates for its Anderson location beginning in 2017, officials said.
