Kalmbach Feeds Expands Wyandot County, Ohio, Operations
04/16/2024
The investment includes a new 100,000-square-foot warehouse in Crawford Township, in close proximity to the company’s existing location in Upper Sandusky.
“We are blessed to see increased demand for our products from existing and new customers. This warehouse addition gives the space we need to fill customer orders quickly and serve more customers every day,” Paul Kalmbach, Jr., Kalmbach Feeds President said.
Both JobsOhio and the Regional Growth Partnership (RGP) provided support for the project through the offering of an Economic Development Grant to help defray investment costs. Additionally, the Wyandot County Office of Economic Development (WCOED) worked with the Wyandot County Commissioners and Crawford Township Trustees to facilitate an Enterprise Zone agreement helping to decrease real property tax liability as a result of the development.
“Northwest Ohio has a deep agricultural heritage, along with outstanding infrastructure, talent, logistics and innovative solutions. With the support of JobsOhio, this expansion by Kalmbach Feeds further solidifies Northwest Ohio as a leading location for investment within the food processing and agribusiness industry,” Dean Monske, president and CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership (RGP) noted.
Kalmbach Feeds manufactures and sells animal feed and custom nutritional products for all livestock and poultry species.
“Kalmbach Feeds has been a staunch supporter of so many efforts in Wyandot County. We are blessed to have a high-growth, family-owned, industry leader located in our rural community, and we're happy to assist in its latest local investment.” Greg Moon, WCOED Executive Director added.
