The investment will include the construction of a 20,000-square-foot addition in Muskegon and a 16,000-square-foot addition in Norton Shores. Operations are scheduled to begin by October 2027.
“We appreciate the ongoing partnerships with the City of Muskegon and the City of Norton Shores as we expand our Muskegon County footprint and employment,” said Curtis Evans, HR Manager, GE Aerospace Muskegon.
GE Aerospace is a provider of jet and turboprop engines, as well as integrated systems for commercial, military, business and general aviation aircraft.
“GE Aerospace’s continued expansion is a strong vote of confidence in Muskegon County and our manufacturing workforce,” noted Trevor Friedeberg, Greater Muskegon Economic Development president and CEO. “Supporting the growth of existing employers like GE Aerospace is central to GMED’s mission, and these investments reinforce our role as a long-term home for advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing.”
“GE Aerospace’s continued investment in Muskegon speaks volumes about the strength of our workforce and the confidence global manufacturers have in this community,” added Jocelyn Hines, economic development analyst for the city of Muskegon.
