Zhongding USA Cadillac Plans Expansion At Its Cadillac, Michigan Plant
08/10/2016
With support from the Michigan Strategic Fund, the manufacturer of rubber auto components plans to expand into the heavy truck and agriculture markets.
According to state officials, the project is expected to generate $4.3 million in total investment. Steve Arwood, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation said, “Zhongding USA’s expansion in Michigan rather than another state means well-paying jobs for Michigan residents and underscores the strength of the talent in the state’s automotive sector."
As an incentive, the project was awarded a $600,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. In addition, the city of Cadillac is considering supporting the project with a property tax abatement.
