Restoration Medical Polymers To Locate Corporate Headquarters-Manufacturing In Whitley County, Indiana
12/21/2015
According to local economic development officials, RMP is finalizing plans to construct a 36,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the Park 30 Industrial Park in Whitley County. The facility will house a state of the art manufacturing facility for human implantable, medical grade polymers, a high tech testing lab, and the corporate headquarters. The company plans to have the facility occupied by late 2016 with production starting early 2017.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Restoration Medical Polymers, LLC, up to $185,000 in performance-based tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. Whitley County approved additional tax abatement and CEDIT incentives at the request of Whitley County Economic Development Corporation.
“The medical device industry finds its perfect home in the Hoosier State, helping the life science industry achieve a $59 billion economic impact to Indiana,” said Jim Schellinger, President of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “RMP’s growth continues the trend we’re seeing this year of companies choosing to create quality jobs in Indiana, with more Hoosiers now working than ever before.”
